Henley’s story

Henley’s story

I like to think every woman embodies that bravery in everyday life—even me.

Henley Romine, nicknamed “Brave Bee” by those who loved her, was the beautiful inspiration for my company, 724.

724 was initially formed as a charitable company to raise money for medical bills and to spread awareness of Brave Bee’s battle with neuroblastoma (rare childhood cancer) at just 18 months old. Her fight was inspiring as her sweet, brave face never wavered from the weary struggle. She fought valiantly until age four, passing away on July 19, 2013.

Gone, but never forgotten, Brave Bee is the courageous spirit of 724. I like to think every woman embodies that bravery in everyday life—even me.

Above the sound of crashing waves, as my toes dug into the cool sand, 724 called to me and inspired sketches of clothing that would be perfect for the everyday woman—a courageous, risk-taking work of strength and femininity. From that, the Canvas line was born.

It was the perfect combination of my background and what I believe every woman embodies—the strength of the fabrics helped solve the problem of durability, sustainabilty and proper construction, while the feel and looks of the line answered to a woman’s desire for femininity. I soon realized that because of the thoughtful design, construction and versatility that 724 had a strong following, support and passion that allowed the company to not only live on, but grow.

The 724 Line

The 724 Line

“The look can be transformed based on who you are and where you’re going.”

– Lissa Schuessler

The versatile 724 line is made for the sexy, sophisticated woman looking for a wardrobe that can flex with her changing day. The colorful line of durable buttery – soft, tops, skirts and dresses, transforms a woman’s look from a day of running with the kids, business meetings or beach to nightwith the simple raising of the skirt hem or accentuating jewelry and strappy heals.

“The look can be transformed based on who you are and where you’re going,” said owner Lissa Schuessler, who created the simple pieces for easy incorporation into any woman’s closet.

Schuessler, an active Mom and businesswoman, knows that women had a desire to look beautiful, but still wear clothing that was comfortable enough to chase down a toddler, while getting groceries, running the family like a CEO, running business meetings and more.

The 724 “Canvas” line fits AND flatters everyone based on the forgiving fabric, the double lining, and the comfortable waistbands.  The designs allow any active woman to move comfortably while everything stays in place. The line has everything from a racer-back tank to a ruched skirt and dresses. You can wear them individually, together, or accentuated in a variety of ways. The line is the perfect travel companion, as each piece can be dressed up or down by changing out flip-flops to heals.
